Test for concussion?

Postby robbie09raz » Wed May 04, 2016 8:35 am

I collided heads when I was playing a pick-up game of basketball. It felt like I got my bell rung pretty good but I didn’t pass out or throw up or anything like that. About 2 hours later I got a terrible headache. Is there a test a doctor can do to see if I got a concussion?

Definitely get a concussion test. Your family MD can refer you to a neurologist who can do the testing. Even if the symptoms have disappeared it would be good to get a baseline test done in case it happens again (which could be worse unfortunately) or if you've happen to have received a baseline test somewhere along the way a comparison can be made to determine if you indeed had a concussion.

Look up ImPACT testing in your area for more info.
